Ethylene propylene rubber products can be used for a long time at 120 ºC, and for short-term or intermittent use at 150-200 ºC. Adding appropriate antioxidants can increase its usage temperature. Peroxide crosslinked EPDM rubber can be used under harsh conditions. EPDM rubber can sustain for more than 150 hours without cracking under conditions of ozone concentration of 50 pphm and 30% stretching.

The advantages of TPV (EPDM/PP) polyolefin elastomers include a light density of 0.9-1.0/cm3 and EPDM 1.2-1.4/cm3, recyclability and ease of processing. The manufacturing cost is 50% -60% lower than EPDM, and it is resistant to intermediate low temperatures. Multiple colors can be selected up to -30 ºC, resulting in a matte and smooth surface. Application: In most cases, it is used for static sealing parts of doors and windows, as well as situations where compression permanent deformation is not required.
