The difference between fluorine rubber sealing ring, nitrile rubber and silicone rubber
Nitrile rubber is usually produced by low-temperature emulsion polymerization and has good oil resistance, high wear resistance, good heat resistance and strong adhesion. The missing points are poor low temperature resistance, poor ozone resistance, poor electrical properties, and slightly low elasticity.
Nitrile rubber is mainly used to manufacture oil-resistant rubber products. A synthetic rubber made from the copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile. It is oil-resistant (especially alkane oil) and synthetic rubber has good anti-aging properties. There are five types of acrylonitrile content (%) in nitrile rubber: 42 to 46, 36 to 41, 31 to 35, 25 to 30, and 18 to 18. The higher the acrylonitrile content, the better the oil resistance, but the cold resistance decreases accordingly.
It can be used in air at 120ºC or oil at 150ºC for a long time. In addition, it has good waterproofing, sealing and good adhesion. It is widely used in the manufacture of various oil-resistant rubber products, various oil-resistant washers, gaskets, sleeves, flexible packaging, soft hoses, printing and dyeing rubber rollers, cable rubber materials, etc. , becoming an indispensable elastic material in the fields of vehicles, aviation, crude oil, printing and other fields.
Nitrile rubber has excellent oil resistance, its oil resistance is second only to polysulfide rubber and fluorine rubber, and has wear resistance and sealing properties. The disadvantage of nitrile rubber is that it is not resistant to ozone, aromatic, halogenated hydrocarbons, ketones and lipid solvents, and is not suitable for insulation materials.
Scope of application Nitrile rubber is mainly used to manufacture oil-resistant products, such as oil-resistant pipes, tapes, rubber diaphragms, large oil bladders, etc. It is often used to manufacture various oil-resistant molded products, such as O-rings, oil seals, leather bowls, valve plates, valves, bellows, etc. , and is also used in the manufacture of rubber sheets and wear-resistant parts.
Nitrile rubber is particularly strong and generally has poor compatibility with other polymers. However, it has strong compatibility with neoprene, modified phenolic resin, especially chlorine-containing polymers, and is often used in combination. In addition, in order to improve processability and performance, nitrile rubber is often used together with natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber. It should be emphasized that nitrile rubber has good oil resistance. When used with other polymers (except polyvinyl chloride), the oil resistance is reduced.
